Dryden Village, MI

The township is in Lapeer County, Michigan; 84 miles east of Lansing, 54 miles north of Detroit. It is a thirty-six square mile rural municipality located in the southeast portion of the county. Other communities in the region include Lapeer, Almont, Hadley and Metamora where you can enjoy dinner at the historic White Horse Inn, established in 1848 as a stagecoach stop named the Hoard House. Oakland Township is at Dryden Township’s southern border. It is considered a “bedroom community” that is home to nearly 5,000 residents which includes the Village of Dryden.

The nature center offers a variety of programs for many different groups like schools, scouts, special interest groups and senior citizens. The nature center has almost 500 acres that include glacial lakes, tallgrass prairie, wetlands, old-growth forest and a beautiful interpretive building for the casual visitor to explore.
